VicinityJobs.com, in partnership with Sheridan College (in Oakville) and the Newmarket Employment Resource Centre (in Newmarket), will host two free seminars on the topic of “Job Market and Hiring Demand Trends in Suburban Toronto”. The events will take place in Oakville on June 23rd and in Newmarket on July 9th.

The seminars look into how the sweeping economic changes from the past couple of years have re-shaped the employment market situation in the 905-area communities. The presentation features an overview of hiring demand trends in York, Halton, and Peel Regions from the past two years, and is designed to provide job seekers with the context needed to plan a successful and rewarding career in the currently changing economic climate.

Most of the information presented in this seminar is based on unique research completed by VicnityJobs.com over the past years, which is not available from other sources. We have been collecting data from all major employment web sites and have analyzed it using our regional hiring demand tracking and reporting tools. The information will be presented in the context of recent StatCan statistics and government-sponsored reports.

The event is free but requires registration.

The Oakville session will take place on June 23, at 10 am, at The Sheridan College Skills Training Centre, 407 Iroquois Shore Rd. Rm. A14. To Register email jan.douglas@sheridanc.on.ca or call Job Connect 905-845-9430 ext. 8160

The Newmarket session will take place on July 9th, at 9:30 am, at the Newmarket Employment Resource Centre, 130 Davis Drive. To register, call 905.952.0502
